Autodesk Announces 3ds Max Design 2010 Hotfix 2009.09.22

Posted by Bruce Harfield on Sunday 11th October 2009 at 2:08pm  | Comments (0)

Autodesk has just announced the release of a hotfix for 3ds Max and 3ds Max Design 2010, which will be of particular interest to Dynamite VSP users.

It fixes an issue which caused the new Sight Checker Tool in Dynamite VSP 4 to become unstable when rendering with Mental Ray. This hotfix is therefore an essential requirement for anybody using Dynamite VSP 4.  Unfortunately, if you are using 3ds Max 2009 or 3ds Max Design 2009, you’ll need to upgrade to 2010 and install this hotfix to solve this issue.

To download this hotfix, visit one of the following links:

Other issues addressed in this hotfix include fixes for issues with stability and performance relating to Camera Maps, DirectX® Shader Material, double-byte file paths, InfoCenter, Material Editor, MAXScript, mental ray®, Non-Uniform Scale, ProCutter, Render Window, Vertex Color, and Viewport Performance.
