Are you planning to support version 2011 of 3DS MAX ??. Autodesk has recently revealed some new information about their upcoming 2011 software…looks like they made some cool improvements in GUI, hardware (more GPU usage) and many more…backward compatibility with 3DS MAX 2010…(I love you autodesk for that ...now make Civil 3D pure 64bit software and I will buy it )

Spline Draping Tool

Hey all… I have a problem and I bet there is an easy fix to this but I just can’t seem to find it! it’s making me crazy!

I am trying to do some linemarking by bringing in some polylines from Autocad to 3ds max. The Autocad design is 2d, so I am trying to drape the lines over the triangulated surface using the draping tool. It seems to bring the vertices to the right level, however between it creates a curve. I have attached a screenshot to explain better…

Please help

Explain Minum Bearing of Vehicle Number (jumping cars in SIM)

Can someone give me a good explination on what the Bearing of Vehicle Number means in the surface tracking manager in Dynamite SIM? I can’t get my cars to not jump up to the bridge above them…. AGHHGHHHHGGG this is really upsetting because there is no tutorials on how to do an animation with a bridge going over a road….

Some information -
VISSIM data imported to a model in MAX using DSIM.
Model has a bridge going over another road….cars are jumping up to the bridge.
The bridge is a seperate object.

Striping at gore areas and other special places

I was wondering if anybody has been able to bring in Striping at gore areas and other special places? I was thinking that if you could project the lines as feature lines in Civil 3D 2010 to the pavement surface or any surface, then that that would do it.

Anyone know how to project lines, plines or feature lines to a surface like say a road surface or parking lot or gore area??????

dramage
