Hi All

I’m trying to show on a drive-through the land designation boundary.

I have created a line in MX which basically follows the designation line, which I’ve applied the ground levels to.

I thought the best way to show this boudary on the drive-through would be to make it a fence (ie. rail object).

But the materials are quite limited, I’ll like to make it stand out more.

If you used a standard rail object like a barrier it’s very dull and grey.

I’ve seen the post on ideas for creating a wire rope barrier so I tried to create a basic red shape to apply as the material to apply to the rails.

I’ve placed the jpeg in the railmaps folder, but nothing appears in the pull down list.

Anyone got any ideas, yet again I’m obviously doing something wrong.

Cheers

Curtis

Curtis if you create a new material channel in the Dynamite Surfaces then use the swept object you can create like cyclone fencing.
The other thing could be is that you create a rail based object then in your material editor add the jpeg to a new channel then modify the rail object using the Dynamite explorer.

I’ve placed the jpeg in the railmaps folder, but nothing appears in the pull down list.

After you have added a jpg to the railMaps folder, you need to right-click the “DynamiteRails” material node in Dynamite VSP Explorer and select “Reset/Rebuild” material. Otherwise, your JPEG will only appear in the material in NEW projects.

Hope this helps.
