Hot on the heels of the release of Dynamite VSP 3.6, I am delighted (and I mean delighted - phew, that was hard work) to announce the release of the new VSP3D File Exporter for Civil 3D 2009.

This exporter is designed to take full advantage of the new features in DVSP 3.6, and offers a number of advantages over previous releases of our exporter for Civil 3D.

An important note on VSP3D file formats - this release generates an entirely new VSP3D file format which is not supported in earlier versions of Dynamite VSP. It is therefore important to note the following:

- This new VSP3D file format is only supported in Dynamite VSP 3.6 (and higher).

- To generate this new VSP3D file format, you must be using AutoCAD Civil 3D 2009.

- The old VSP3D file format is still supported in AutoCAD Civil 3D 2008 and 2009, but is only partially supported in DVSP 3.6. For instance, the old VSP3D file format no longer supports updating functionality in DVSP 3.6, and these file can only be imported via a Legacy Civil 3D Import Panel which will disappear in the next release of DVSP.

So if you are a Civil 3D user, the news is - update to AutoCAD Civil 3D 2009 and Dynamite VSP 3.6 as soon as possible. You’ll be glad you did!
