Well, not sure how but the grouping for my libraries has been lost when I go into object placement and this results in nothing being placed into the scene.

I’m not sure what’s brought it on.  I know at one stage I think it picked up plugins from the network instead of the local install so it thought that it had fired up for the first time.  I fixed that but hadn’t used Dynamite since.  Also been having fun moving the library files around so that the kits are sourced from the network so maybe that’s related?

Would a reinstall fix this?  It wouldn’t need a new a new license request, would it?

I’m not sure what else has been affected.  About to try the road marking stuff

Peter - a re-install won’t affect your licence file, so you could try that. But if you were calling DVSP plugins from a network path, they won’t have been updated by teh V3.6 service pack install. You might want to try copying the updated local copy of the DVSP 3.6 plugins to wherever you call them from on the network.

Not sure why your groups have disappeared though. Do you meant that you don’t see any content in the OPS Editor at all? That suggests that the Country Resource Kit path is not pointing to the location that you were expecting.  Check the Resouce Kit tab in the DVSP Preferences panel.

Already copied the new ones to the network but accidently had my machine do the same which cause it to think it had started again.

The editor finds the objects but populates the list as ungrouped, none of the previews work and doesn’t actually insert anything into the scene.  I’ll check the pathing but the weird thing is that it knows that some stuff exists.

Here’s an image to show.  I just repathed it all and still no luck.  Might try taking it back to the defaults and see what it does.  Which didn’t fix it.  You don’t need to restart MAX when you change these preferences, do you?

Okay, now it’s working.  Don’t know why.

and just for reference I exited MAX, fired up, went to the resource kit manager which had everything appearing fine then I tried the editor and yay.

Oh well, all good smile
