Hi,

During install of the trial version (3.1) I got some DLL errors (”*.DLM is not made for this version of the program - not loading”). When I tried to start DVSP in Autodesk 3ds Max Design 2009 32-bit I got a critical error saying “One or more Dynamite VSP plugins could not be found! DVSP Error Code 0”.
Then I realised that I hadn’t installed the service pack yet that updates DVSP to 3.70.
After this succesful update I could start “DVSP in Autodesk 3ds Max Design 2009 32-bit”.

Now the question is how do I access al the functions of DVSP in Autodesk 3ds Max Design 2009 32-bit ?
I only found how to create some objects (‘Create’ tab->‘Geometry’ and found ‘Dynamite’ in drop down list)
Now its almost like I’m just working with “Autodesk 3ds Max Design 2009 32-bit”.

I haven’t yet requested a license, could this be the problem?
If not I also would like to know what the difference is between working with a license or without.

Kind regards,

Bart

Hi Bart,

You need to have a Dynamite VSP licesne installed, otherwise the product won’t function in 3ds Max Design.  The only thing that you’ll be able to do so far is load 3ds Max scenes that contain Dynamite VSP content.

Hope this helps.

Best regards,

Bruce

Thx Bruce

For future users with similar question:
1) Request license file via the license manager (It will be sent by e-mail)
2) Import the license file (*.lic) attached in the e-mail after saving it somewhere (use license manager to import)
3) Start host application (in my case ‘Autodesk 3ds Max Design 2009 32-bit’) and to access most of Dynamite VSP’s features go to Dynamite VSP menu and click on Dynamite VSP explorer

Have fun,

Bart
