please see attached file. This is an on going error that occurs with 3dsMAX / Dynamite and in order to fix this problem I have to re-install max and dynamite. Is there an easier way around this or more importantly why the hell is it happening all the time?

Before I last opened dynamite I did try and add a path for another plug-in, when opening dynamite again after doing this, the error has appeared. I’m not sure this is the problem but thought I should mention it…

Hi Chris,

I’ve had this a few times before, and its got to do with Dynamite (or Max) editing your plugin.ini file.

Open the plugin.ini file from the root installation folder (C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2009 or equivalent)

Add the path to the Dynamite plugins to the plugin.ini file:
Dynamite VSP Plugins=C:\Program Files\3am Solutions\Dynamite VSP 3\Modules\Max2009Plugins32\

or wherever you Dynamite plugins folder is located

Hope this helps

Indeed - it does look like the plugin.ini file either contains a pointer to the wrong DVSP plugins folder, or that the entry Andrew mentioned above is not even in the file for some reason.

The DVSP installer adds this entry to the plugins.ini file automatically. I’m not immediately sure why it might be wrong or missing, but perhaps this information will help to diagnose what might be going wrong.
