Hi

I have just started using dynamite and have come across my first and only problem so far. I have been paying around with the tutorials and every time I place a vehical on a string, they are never lining up straight, the trees seem to offset them selfs and line marking randomly gose really thin. I can’t seem to figure out what the problem maybe can anyone?

Thanks

Massimo

Hi Massimo,

Firstly, welcome to the site.

It sounds like you haven’t placed your model close enough to the scene origin in 3ds Max. If you work at great distances from the origin on the x/y axis you can run into these problems. If you are working with imported civil engineering data, Dynamite VSP can automatically transform your model to a local coordinate system close to the scene origin in 3ds Max. It depends on which file format you are importing from as to how automatic this process is.

If you hover the mouse over the centre of your model in a TOP view in 3ds Max, what values do you see in the XY coordinate readout in the 3ds Max status bar?

Best regards,

Bruce
