Bruce,

Are you planning to support version 2011 of 3DS MAX ??. Autodesk has recently revealed some new information about their upcoming 2011 software…looks like they made some cool improvements in GUI, hardware (more GPU usage) and many more…backward compatibility with 3DS MAX 2010…(I love you autodesk for that smile...now make Civil 3D pure 64bit software and I will buy it raspberry)

Some links to study:

Krzysztof,

Please see the attached link
http://area.autodesk.com/blogs/ken/3ds_max_2011_announced

In the 3ds Max 2011 Changes / Enhancements you will see that on Point 12 - Dynamite VSP for Civil visualisation for subscription customers.

Look pretty legit to me. Hopefully this will do away with the whole FlexLM licensing hoorah.

Looking forward to this release

I looked at it and bah…

Dynamite VSP for civil visualization (3ds Max Design subscription customers only)

Looks like big ERROR to me…as we have 3DS MAX ...not design…

No need to panic guys.  If you are already a customer of 3AM Solutions, the existing Version 4.0 and forthcoming 4.1 of Dynamite VSP already supports both 3ds Max 2011 and 3ds Max Design 2011.

For Autodesk customers that are new to Dynamite VSP, they *will* definitely need to be using 3ds Max Design.

All future major releases of Dynamite VSP will be via Autodesk, and I don’t see their policy of releasing the product for Max Design customers only from changing.  Therefore if you are still using 3ds Max, I would strongly recommend crossgrading sooner rather than later.  There is no reason to continue using 3ds Max, as it is now aimed at entertainment related industries only.

I hope this clarifies things.
