thats strange. but good news!

im not getting the same result; in my case th corridors look like surfaces (checkboard).

can u please tell me what youre doing when importing to dynamite? i must do something different, or perhaps its when im exporting? can u send me the vsp3d-file? so i can find out whether it is the import or the export? maybe it has something to do with my dynamte preferences?

If you are seeing checkerboard materials on the surfaces, it means that you have imported the surface objects from Civil 3D in addition to the corridor region surfaces that are generated as part of the export process.  That’s what I was explaining in an earlier post.

When you import the VSP3D file into Dynamite VSP, exclude anything that is listed as a surface.  An easy way to do this is to select the corridors node on the left of the import panel, before you make your selection on the right side of the panel. That will filter the contents of the list to only the content that relates to corridors.

If you then select the surfaces node on the left of the panel, you’ll see that only the surface objects are listed on the right of the panel. These should *NOT* be selected, except where you want to import non-corridor related surfaces, such as the existing ground surface.

i tried to do that, excluding every surface, but all i can see in max is the two alignments, and not the rest of the corridor. it must be something with my settings, either in exporter or dynamite import. could u send me the vsp3d file, please? then i would know where my problems are.

There is nothing wrong with your settings, you just need to make the correct selections from the import panel.

Here is the VSP3D file (sent via e-mail), and a screenshot showing some of the 8 surfaces which I excluded from the import. Everything else was imported.
