I’m just rebooting to check to see that this isn’t my machine but when reading the skymap TIFF’s, I’m currently getting this error.  Oddly enough, the TIFF’s distributed with DVSP prior to ACVE work just fine.

Hm - from what I can see this problem only affects “hemispherical_003.tif”. The others load without any problems.  This looks like a problem in 3ds Max Design, so we’ll need to investigate further.

In the meantime, there is a simple workaround.  Just load the TIF file in any decent photo editor (IrfanView will do - it’s free), and save the file out to a new TIF file with no compression.  I just tried it here and it solves the read problem in 3ds Max Design.

Hmm… I think I was getting errors with other ones too.  I’ll check.  I just went back and used the DVSP 4 version.
